Fieldbus I/O systems

Fieldbus I/O systems consist of a basic housing with up to 8 slots. The slots can accommodate slide-in I/O modules which include both multichannel analogue input/output modules and digital input/output modules. The connection can be realised via an RS-485, an Ethernet, CANbus, PROFIBUS or USB interface.

Serial fieldbus I/O systems

The serial fieldbus I/O systems I-87K and RU-87P series consist of a basic housing that offers 1 to 9 slots for plug-in modules, depending on the series. Data is transmitted via the RS-485 bus and the DCON protocol is used for communication. I/O modules can be inserted into the slots in plug-in design, which include both multi-channel analog input/output modules and digital input/output modules.

CANBus I/O systems

The CANBus I/O systems of the CAN-8000 series consist of a basic housing with 1, 2, 4 or 8 slots for plug-in modules, depending on the model. The CANopen or DeviceNet protocol is used for communication. I/O modules can be inserted into the slots in plug-in form, comprising both multi-channel analog input/output modules and digital input/output modules. The I/O systems function as slaves in the CAN network.

Profibus I/O systems

The Profibus I/O systems of the PROFI-8000 series consist of a basic housing with 1, 2, 4 or 8 slots for plug-in modules, depending on the model. The ModbusTCP protocol is used for communication. The slots can be used for I/O modules in plug-in design that comprise both multi-channel analog input/output modules and digital input/output modules. The I/O systems act as slaves in the Profibus network.

USB I/O systems

The USB I/O systems of the USB 2000 series consist of a basic housing, which has 1, 2, 4 or 8 slots for plug-in modules, depending on the model. Proprietary protocols are used for communication. The slots can accommodate plug-in I/O modules that include both multi-channel analog input/output modules and digital input/output modules.
