Serial Device Servers

The serial device servers provide RS-232 and RS-422/485 devices with Ethernet connectivity. This removes the cable length limitation of the physical serial port and extends the maximum distance of the host PC to the entire network by means of a "virtual" COM port.

Device Server with PoE

POE Serial device servers with Power over Ethernet (PoE), as a Powered Device (PD), offer not only Ethernet connectivity for RS-232 and RS-422/485 devices, but also the great advantage of quick and easy installation: plug in the network cable and you're up and running!

Serial Repeater

Isolators and repeaters for the serial interface (RS-232/422/485) help with electrical or signalling interference acting on the cables by dividing the signal path into isolated sub-segments or processing noisy and distorted signals without changing the information content.

CANbus Repeater

CAN repeaters are used to establish the physical and logical coupling of two or more segments of a CAN bus system. Depending on the model, tree or star topologies or even long stub lines can be realised. The maximum number of bus nodes can also be increased. Optically isolated CAN repeaters separate and protect critical segments of the system from the rest of the CAN network. Galvanic protection isolates both CAN segments from each other as well as from the power supply.

USB Hub

A USB hub expands the usually limited number of USB ports on the PC so that additional powerful peripherals with USB interfaces can be connected.
