Panel PC or Box PC - The choice is yours

Modern industrial companies are usually reliant on comprehensive equipment with industrial PC systems. Regardless of whether process data is to be processed or the next work step is to be displayed or documented on a panel PC, PC technology is behind it all. The challenge for the system integrator is usually to select the right industrial PC systems to make the production environment efficient, reliable and flexible.

The Spectra PowerTwin 130 series offers you a high degree of flexibility. It is the latest generation of a series of modular, customizable panel and PC modules that has been successful for several years. The PC module can also be used on its own, turning it into a box PC. Or it can be used as a panel PC by attaching a display module. Specifically, the new Spectra PowerTwin 130 series offers you the following options.

A slim and fanless box PC (solo PC module) based on an Intel® processor N97 from the Alder Lake-N series. These processors combine the latest processor technology with outstanding energy efficiency at a very good price/performance ratio. In addition to extensive I/O interfaces, the box PC offers you one M.2 Key E type 2230 (WLAN) and one M.2 Key B type 3052 (5G, SSD). You can also add PoE and IGN functions via an expansion module.

This very well-equipped box PC can be transformed into a panel PC in conjunction with the attached display unit. You can flexibly choose between display sizes from 8.4" to 24" with a resistive or capacitive touchscreen. Depending on the model, in 4:3 or 16:9 format. All the options of the Box PC are also available in this version.

The modular concept offers you numerous advantages. If all devices come from the same series, the spare parts required are often identical or at least very similar. This makes spare parts management easier for you and reduces storage costs. Your technicians only need to familiarize themselves with a limited number of appliance types and their specific requirements. This makes maintenance easier and can reduce downtime during repairs. In addition, devices from the same series are designed for seamless integration. This means that the software and drivers are perfectly matched, which makes installation and operation easier.
